1. What Pendraic is today

Pendraic is a writing tool for long-form fiction. Features, interfaces, availability, and pricing may change as the product evolves; we will give notice of material changes that affect saved work or how content is handled.

2. Ownership of your work

You own what you write. The manuscripts, outlines, notes, indexes, characters, prompts, and custom configuration you create in Pendraic belong to you. We do not claim any copyright, license, or other intellectual-property interest in your work beyond the narrow operational license we need to display your own files back to you, store them, back them up, and process them on your behalf when you ask us to run generation, retrieval, or export passes.

When you delete content, we delete it. When you delete your account, we delete your content within 30 days, excluding records we are legally required to retain (for example, billing receipts). Back-ups rotate out on the schedule documented in our privacy page.

3. Model training and your manuscripts

Pendraic does not train any model on your manuscripts, indexes, prompts, or personal work. Ever. It is not a setting you have to opt into. We also do not sell your content to anyone for any purpose.

When you run a generation pass, your prompt and the context that pass needs are sent to whichever AI provider is powering the call (the one whose key you connected, or the same vendors via Pendraic Managed AI). That provider operates under its own terms, which Pendraic cannot enforce or guarantee on your behalf. Most major providers’ standard API tiers today do not use customer prompts to train models, but that is the provider’s commitment to maintain, not ours. If you want direct control over how an upstream provider treats your content, the BYOK path lets you contract directly with the provider whose terms you have reviewed and accepted yourself.

4. Acceptable use

Pendraic is a tool for writing long-form fiction and related creative work. You agree not to use the service to generate content that is illegal, that depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors, that is used for targeted harassment of a real identified person, or that attempts to bypass the safety systems of the underlying model vendors. You are responsible for making sure your usage of the underlying model APIs conforms to those vendors’ own usage policies.

5. Availability and changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime and may change or pause features as the product evolves. We will not change the ownership, privacy, or training commitments above without explicit notice. Any material change to those commitments will be announced to the email on your account at least 14 days before taking effect.
